History, Background
TCRC (Transforming Children to Responsible Citizens) was founded to address the growing concerns of behavioral disorders, addiction, criminal tendencies, and unhealthy relationships that many children face during their adolescence. These challenges often lead to various forms of exploitation, jeopardizing their future. At this critical age, when self-awareness and judgment are still developing, parents and teachers may struggle to understand and empathize with the unique needs of adolescents. This lack of understanding can lead to significant mental and emotional challenges for the children. However, with proper guidance and support, a brighter future for these children is possible.
Recognizing the importance of timely intervention, a group of compassionate individuals from Kozhikode and surrounding areas came together to establish TCRC. Our organization was born out of the belief that the right support, provided at the right time, can significantly contribute to a child's education, personality development, and social growth.
TCRC's journey began with the inspiration drawn from the "Our Responsibility to Children" (ORC) initiative, started in 2010 by Shri. P. Vijayan IPS, then the Kozhikode City Police Commissioner. When the government adopted this initiative, a few of its core members came together to form TCRC.
